| The Hong Kong Observatory will issue Tropical Cyclone Warning Signals as the tropical cyclone poses a threat to Hong Kong. Radio and Television will provide regular and continuous updates when the Signals are issued |
| The Warning Signals are as follows, |
| T1 | the typhoon may later affect Hong Kong |
| T3 | winds are becoming stronger and should secure all loosen objects |
| T8 | stay indoor, lock all windows and stay away from them, the typhoon can now cause real damage |
| T9 | stay indoor, the winds are increasing in strength, lock all windows and stay away from them, the typhoon can now cause real damage |
| T10 | stay indoor, the typhoon is now directly hitting Hong Kong, lock all windows and stay away from them, the typhoon can now cause real damage |
